Right now the appointed US Attorney for SDNY has recused, the investigations of Trump are being run by his deputy, and Whittaker is conflicted as fuck so he probably can’t move as hard as Trump wants. However after confirmation Barr could reign them in if he wants to. The only caveat to that relates to Barr’s own potential conflicts and how he responds to the recommendation he gets from the ethics professionals.

Technically, yes. As could the president. The US Attorneys for the Southern District of New York (and every other district, for that matter) are appointed by the president and serve four year terms, they are federal prosecutors (and also represent the US in civil cases as well). They are exercising delegated executive authority (all executive authority flows from the president) to “see that the law is faithfully executed.”

There were some challenges to Whitaker’s appointment. But the Supreme Court declined to take up the issue last month in one case. There’s a few more cases still pending, but if Barr is confirmed can be rendered moot. (Though a case like this should fall under the category of “capable of repetition, yet evading review.”

Watching Nicole Wallace’s show today and it seems Mueller will be reporting (at the least) Manafort was a Russian plant into the Trump Campaign and set up a confirmed deal that the money the Russians gave Trump for funding his businesses now had a payment to come due but may have been out of Trump control. That would be the sanctions against Russia would be voided if Trump won the presidency.
In comes Manafort and doing things like changing the Republican platform in regards and getting his hands on Trump campaign info to help influence the election.
It appears the Russian then pushed all their actions to get Trump elected for that sole purpose which comes down to money for the Russians. Those sanctions were costing Putin.
As soon as Trump was elected, General Flynn then contacted the Russians to confirm the sanctions would be lifted within a day or so of Trump’s election. That is where Flynn is caught lying to the FBI. He said he didn’t talk to the Russians.
The link to all of this apparently is the testimony of Rick Gates. That is why Manafort’s lawyers are doing everything they can to call Gates testimony into question. It appears Manafor’s lying to Mueller is going to cost him even more jail time now too. I think it was said he might be looking at ten years more.
What is still not clear is how much Trump himself knew. But that may not matter, his campaign was out of control and dirty dealing, so he is responsible.
Again…this just may be a taste of what Mueller has on the menu. But it may be damning enough on its own. I think it is pretty clear there will be more.

The question of how Mexico would react to a US-led push to ban Huawei from Western markets due to security concerns came up. The Mexican representative said, “in the past we would have tended to join with America, but we see no security problems, they have product we need, and we feel now no need to comply with America due to the changes caused by the Trump administration.”
The same will be true in many places. China will be the leader in 5G as things stand now.

As others (Big Papa and VB) have written, it’s a mezuzah. The tl;dr version is that if you watch the movie the Ten Commandments, you see Joshua put the blood of a sacrifice on the lintel and sides of the door so that G-d passes over houses of the pious Jews when G-d smites the first born in Egypt.
To commemorate that, we include a mezuzah on the doors of our homes (all entry/exit doors, room doors except bathrooms), and it contains several phrases from the Old Testament.
